Product Review: Magix Essential Face Mattifier

One of the perks of being an Avon Rep is getting to try new products before they are available for sale!!  When I review a product I will give you my honest opinion, I will tell you the pros & cons!  Just because I work for Avon doesn't mean that all their products are great. I want to make sure my customers get the best products for their money.

I have horribly oily skin.  I can put on makeup & an hour later I look like a greasy pizza face (lol). I have been trying different products (lotions, face wash, etc) to combat the problem.  During this time of trail & error I discovered that Avon had a new product coming out called "Magix Essential Face Mattifier".  In the description of the product it said: "Prep for makeup application or use it alone, with targeted attention to the T-zone. Skin looks naturally matte for hours."  NATURALLY MATTE FOR HOURS, that was the hook, line, & sinker for me!  Although I was still kind of skeptical that the product would work, I bought it anyway.  I was really excited to try it out!

There is alot of product for the money, and you don't need to apply alot for good coverage.  The product looks white in the pan, but it is clear when you apply it.  I wore it for the first time today under my foundation.  As everyone knows it was horribly HOT today, and during my trip to Walmart to buy stuff for my son's birthday, I know I lost 10 pounds in SWEAT.  I felt that my face just had to be oily looking & nasty.  So right in the middle of Walmart I broke out my mirror. I was so surprised to see that despite the sweat rolling down my forehead my makeup looked perfect, my skin looked smooth, & MATTE; no greasy oily shine!  Even now, some 8 hours after I put my makeup on, my skin still looks matte & oil free!! I am so glad that I found a great product to help combat my oily skin!!  I know I've only used it one time, but I will be ordering a couple more of these, I <3 it!!  The only con of this product is that the regular price will be $10, which is significantly less than similar products available with other companies, but I'm very frugal & have a hard time spending alot of money on anything for myself (since I'm a SAHM & do not have a significant income).

Now, this product will not be available until next Campaign (17), the debut special price will be $7.99.  BUT if you have an oil problem like me & would like to try this product out, you can pre-order it for only $6.40 (a 20% savings from the brochure price)!!!
